About Dr. Jared Cline
I am a clinical neuropsychologist specializing in the evaluation of adults with concerns involving memory, attention, executive functioning, and other aspects of cognition.
People usually do not seek neuropsychological testing because they are curious about their test scores. They come because something in their life is not making sense.
Maybe attention and organization have always been difficult. Maybe memory has changed in a way that feels concerning. Maybe a neurological illness or injury has raised questions about cognitive functioning.
My role is to take those concerns, along with a person’s history, symptoms, medical information, and test results, and bring them together into a clear and useful explanation.

My approach to neuropsychological assessment
I believe a good evaluation should do more than produce scores and diagnoses.
The goal is to understand the person behind the data.
That means considering:
What has changed
What has always been difficult
What remains strong
What symptoms are most disruptive in daily life
What factors may be contributing
Which explanation best fits the full pattern of evidence
I try to approach each evaluation with curiosity rather than assumption.
The purpose is not to prove a diagnosis that someone already suspects. It is to determine which explanation best fits the available information and to provide recommendations that are actually useful.
Clear answers, not just test results
Neuropsychological reports can easily become technical.
I place a strong emphasis on making the findings understandable.
That means explaining:
What the results mean
How the findings relate to real-world concerns
Whether a diagnosis is supported
What alternative explanations were considered
What steps may be helpful moving forward
I provide recommendations tailored to the individual rather than relying on a generic list of strategies.
Training and experience

Why I founded Red Pine Neuropsychology
I created Red Pine Neuropsychology to provide a more individualized approach to assessment.
In larger healthcare systems, evaluations can sometimes feel rushed, highly standardized, or disconnected from the person’s actual questions.
I wanted to build a practice where there is more room for careful diagnostic reasoning, direct communication, and thoughtful explanation. As such, I conduct the entire evaluation from start to finish.
At Red Pine Neuropsychology, the goal is to provide:
Direct care from the neuropsychologist
Individualized assessment
Careful diagnostic formulation
Clear feedback
Practical recommendations
Reports that are detailed but understandable
The emphasis is on quality and clarity rather than volume.
What it is like to work with me
I try to approach each evaluation with empathy, curiosity, and patience. I take time to listen carefully to the concerns that bring someone in and to understand what they are experiencing in their day-to-day life.
Rather than following a rigid script, I want the evaluation to reflect the questions that matter most to the patient. I also make space for questions throughout the process and take time to explain anything that feels unclear.
Not every evaluation results in a diagnosis.
Sometimes the most useful outcome is confirmation that cognition is within expected limits. Sometimes the findings point toward a different explanation than originally suspected. Sometimes the results identify a pattern that warrants additional medical follow-up.
Whatever the outcome, my goal is to make sure you leave with a clearer understanding of what the findings mean and what to do next.
Areas of Focus
Adult ADHD
Assessment of longstanding concerns involving attention, organization, procrastination, time management, task initiation, and executive functioning.
Memory and cognitive change
Evaluation of memory and thinking concerns, including questions involving normal aging, mild cognitive impairment, and neurodegenerative conditions.
Neurological and medical conditions
Evaluation of cognitive concerns associated with traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, neurological illness, and other medical conditions.
A boutique private-practice model
Red Pine Neuropsychology is intentionally a small, specialized practice.
That allows me to remain closely involved in every stage of the evaluation from start to finish, including:
Clinical interview
Test selection
Interpretation
Diagnostic formulation
Feedback
Report writing
You are not simply passed through a testing process.
The evaluation is built around the specific questions you are trying to answer.
